Since our founding in 2015, our mission has always been to provide our customers with the best hemp bedding for their pets and animals and to encourage others to discover what hemp can do for them.
I and everyone at Dominion Hemp stand behind our product as simply the healthiest option for animal bedding on the market.
Hemp is 75% cellulose and is a natural absorbent. The perfect material to keep your animal dry and happy. Yes, that’s right — four times its weight, compared to 2X for wood and paper products. This means you need to clean and change bedding less often.
When hemp bedding is used, urine goes straight to the bottom, keeping the surface clean and dry. Odors become trapped under the surface, reducing ammonia and other odors much better than wood chips or sawdust. Reducing odor helps control flies and makes a more pleasing environment for you and your animals. Perfect for a barn full of horse stalls or your backyard chicken coop!
Dust compromises the quality of air for your animal and can easily lead to breathing complications. Hemp bedding offers a low-dust environment, crucial for the health of your animals. It has air pockets and excellent heat retention properties when compared to sawdust or pine shavings.
Hemp bedding degrades faster than most animal care products such as wood shavings and sawdust. Perfect for your garden compost. Support sustainable farming practices and help create a larger demand for Hemp. The earth and economy will thank you for it.

Debi, I apologize for the delay. We have been very busy getting the new plant going and have neglected the website questions. I'll have to refer you to our head of sales for that question: eric@odhemp.com.
Thank you for your interest in Dominion Hemp!
Josh
Hi, Amber. There's no difference in the bedding. It's just the size of the bag. But that is a good suggestion. If having a smaller size for smaller animals is something that would be better, we should probably be doing that. I will pass this on to Marty. Thank you!
Anna, I've been advised that you DO NOT want to wet down hemp hurd. You only wet down a hemp compressed crumble. Thanks, Josh
Rich, I apologize for the late reply. several questions got dumped to spam and yours was one. Yes, the hemp should be good for 2-3 years, as long as it's stored in a cool, dry place.
Thank you for the question. One bag will give you the bare minimum coverage for a 12x12 stall. Our 33-pound bag will cover 11 cubic feet at 1-inch depth. With 3 bags you will start to get good depth. We appreciate the question and support.
At Dominion Hemp, we understand that hemp and hemp bedding are relatively new products to many people. We hope these frequently asked questions and information help educate you about our incredible product.

One to two bags will cover the hen boxes and an 8' x 6' chicken run. Please see our application chart on our hemp bedding for chickens page.
One 33 pound bag will cover 11 cubic feet at a one-inch depth; most of our equine clients use three to five bags, adding one bag every 7-10 days to replace the soiled material.
Please see our hemp bedding for horses page for application options.
Yes, we have many clients that use the soiled hemp for composting. Hemp is biodegradable and does not have the acidity of pine shavings.

Yes, we can accommodate FTL orders at a time. If you are interested in a quote, please email sales@odhemp.com.
Our hemp bedding is 100% hemp hurd. We do not add any other material to our hemp bedding.
No, the material we received from the EU is grown without pesticides.
Your pet may initially nibble at the hemp bedding out of curiosity; this is common with many animals. They quickly lose interest. Hemp hurd is part of the plant but not appealing to many animals’ palettes.
If you notice your pet is eating abnormal amounts of their bedding, there could be an underlying issue, and you should contact a veterinarian.
Yes, we have goat and alpaca breeders that use our hemp bedding.
This is our favorite question; the answer is NO. There is no THC in our hemp bedding.

Great hemp bedding! Three bags laid a nice thick layer in my 8x8 coop. The Chick Inn smells sweet! Best bang for your buck!
